Developing horses
The in-between stage, where the horse develops from being recently ridden into a confident, developing sport horse.
At this stage, the horse begins to feel confident in its body, in the environment, and in its understanding of the rider. From this foundation, we can start to develop the skills needed for life as a sport horse.
In this program, we develop rhythm, suppleness, and contact, creating a base the horse can rely on as the work progresses. These elements support the horse’s physical development and balance, while adapting to how each horse moves and thinks as an individual.
We also begin to introduce the horse to the outside world. Carefully planned outings help build confidence in new environments, including loading, travel, and working in unfamiliar places, creating a well-rounded and adaptable horse.
